Systems for medical & analytical technology
For the development of new devices or in the research- or laboratory field, we continously develope new systems for controlling gases or liquids. Our fluidic systems are designed to meet the requirements of many different setups with fluidic components like pumps and valves. Our goal is to simplify the experiments of new ideas and solutions.
Since product launch times are constantly shortening, our controller offer a simple and flexible solution to test new technologies and to combine different components to create individual fluidic systems. The BMT controller can also be used for developments and tests in microfluidics, so that the combination and integration of our micro-pumps and miniature valves into a fluidic system can be easily implemented.

Flexible controllers for OEM components
The BMT controllers are available in versions for stepper motor pumps, pumps with DC motors, piezo pumps and for solenoid valves. In combination with the shape memory alloy valve driver, the SMV valves can also be controlled and programmed. The DC controller also allows the control of a bistable valve and operation with holding voltage.
The controllers are designed for the operation of several components and can be expanded in a network in almost any way. Each of these controllers have an integrated computer unit and can therefore also be operated as a stand-alone device. The HDMI connection can be used as a monitor output and the USB connections for keyboard and mouse. A USB memory stick with saved program sequences can also be connected to the USB ports. They can then be started and stopped directly on the device using a button.
The PC software for control and programming is supplied with the devices and connects via the network interface (RJ45). Since the controllers also have Wifi in addition to the LAN connection, network integration can also take place wirelessly. Program sequences on the USB stick can be controlled externally and program-specifically via the network. This is possible by sending simple network packets. An example JAVA application is freely available in our Github repository.
The control of a large number of different controls can be implemented comprehensively in the PC software. Program sequences can also be programmed at the same time on different controllers and started/stopped centrally. By integrating further devices (addons), components such as the jet controler (ZC1), the flow sensor and also the rotary valves can be integrated.
An overview of the functions of the software and the connection options for other devices can be found in our wiki manual.
The software is continuously adapted to new requirements expanded with new functionalities. We are happy to discuss possible customer-specific extensions and adjustments with you.
Laboratory peristaltic pumps
The laboratory peristaltic pumps are suitable for pumping a few microliters per minute up to 3000 ml/min. The product selection ranges from high-precision pump systems with a resolution of 0.01 rpm with flow rates starting from 0.15 µl/min to peristaltic pumps for industrial applications with IP67 protection class.
All laboratory peristaltic pumps can be offered with a variety of pump heads. The DG series can be equipped with a cassette of up to 8 hoses and optionally 6 or 10 rollers (10 rollers only up to 4 channels). Increasing the number of rollers reduces pulsation, which is particularly advantageous for microfluidic applications. The easy interchangeability of the tube was one important feature when designing the pump heads.
A variety of tubing sizes (depending on the pump head) and tubing materials can be used. Silicone (also Biocompatible - USP Class VI certified, FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.2600 certified, NSF 51 certified), PharMed®, Tygon® E-3603, Tygon®LMT-55, Tygon® 2475, Norprene®A-60-G are only some examples.
The laboratory peristaltic pump with 7" touch color display enables intuitive operation and programming. A large number of functions and logics can be set here, saved in steps and called up as a program. More complex processes can be automated and controlled using graphic visualization on the device, so that recurring tasks in the laboratory can be carried out with little effort. The pump can also be integrated into a system landscape using the external control options of one of the interfaces (USB, RJ11, DB9). With a maximum weight of 6kg and a compact housing, this pump system can be used flexibly as a tabletop device.
Peristaltic pumps for pharmaceutical and biomedical applications
The dPOFLEX industrial peristaltic pump for pharmaceutical and biotechnology enables liquids to be pumped safely. The functionality of the pump meets the highest process requirements and enables a wide range of applications thanks to a large flow range and precise control. Whether it's low pulsation with a phased double tubing and 6-roller pumphead or a continuous tubing pumphead with a flow rate of up to 17 l/min, this system provides accurate and repeatable process control. The biocompatible silicone tubings and connectors are the only consumables and can be easily exchanged in the pump head.
The sensors in the pump head automatically stop the pump when it is opened, which enhances the operational safety.
More information about this pump system and the configuration options can be found on the detail page for the dPOFLEX industrial peristaltic pump for pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
