The world's first man-made meteor shower project

Januar 15, 2019

On Friday, January 18, 2019, the Japanese space agency JAXA successfully launched the Epsilon-4 rocket. All seven satellites loaded on the rocket were successfully placed into orbit. The demonstration satellite "ALE-1" from ALE Co., Ltd., which produced man-made meteor showers, attracted a lot of attention.

When a "meteor particle," the material from a meteor shower, is released from the device installed on the satellite, the particle travels one-fifth of the way around the Earth, then enters the atmosphere and burns up. Observed from the ground, it looks like a real meteor shower. Our valve system works reliably in the main part of the particle release device. The world's first man-made meteor shower is expected to delight the eyes of people in the Hiroshima and Setouchi region in spring 2020. We hope for the success of the project.
