Customization of valves for use in high & low temperature environments
Aren't there cases that require countermeasures to allow high or low-temperature working fluids?
In this article, we will introduce two cases related to customized valve temperature specifications desired across various industries.
Customization of solenoid valve for low temperature environment
Customization request
- Change temperature specifications
- Lower power consumption
Background:
- Field (Industry): Energy
- Application: To develop fuel cells for power generation in polar regions.
- Problem: I am looking for a valve with a low power consumption of 1W or less, and to be used at extremely low temperatures of -30℃.
Base Product Information
Customization
- The coil power and sealing force are optimally designed with a power consumption of 0.7W.
- By changing the design from a diaphragm type to a non-diaphragm one, we succeeded in the design of a valve that can be used even in low-temperature environments.
Customization of diaphragm isolated solenoid valve for high-temperature environments
Customization request
- Change temperature specifications
Background:
- Field (Industry): Energy
- Application: In response to the factory exhaust gas regulations, a new exhaust gas monitoring device is under development. This valve will be a part of the new device.
- Problem: The valve should be compatible with a highly corrosive exhaust gas & must function in a high-temperature environment.
Base Product Information
Customization
- By adopting appropriate material & implementing heat transfer measures, this valve can handle corrosive gases up to 200℃. The heat transfer measures include revised internal construction & addition of Ventiducts.
- The heat arising from the actuator has also been suppressed to a great extent due to the inclusion of a Hit & Hold circuit.
